Patiala Chicken

Punjab , as we all know is the biggest foodie place. Not only the city serves food but also the people are foodie. Patiala is one of the princely state of Punjab.  Being a punjabi,  I have been eating all the punjabi dishes since my childhood and I relish them today also. One such recipe is this Patiala chicken which is very easy to be cooked also and taste similarly to butter chicken. So let's give our palette a new taste away from our old preparations .                     "Patiala Chicken"


Ingredients 
1 cup cubed chicken or with bones 
1/4 cup onion , chopped 
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 
1 tbsp gram masala
1 cup tomato puree
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste 
2 tsp dried fenugreek leaves 
2 tbsp fresh cream 
1/4 cup grated cheese 
2 tbsp oil or ghee 
For garnishing 
2 eggs 
Salt and pepper 
Fresh coriander leaves 

Method:

Firstly was the chicken.
In a skillet take 1 tbsp oil  add cumin seeds and allow to splutter .

Add the onion and cook till brown.  Add the ginger garlic paste and cook till the aroma goes . Add the dried spices and tomato puree and cook till it leaves oil . Add the chicken and cover and cook till done .

Lastly add the cream and fenugreek seeds .

Meanwhile in another skillet ,heat oil and make an omelette with salt and pepper and coriander .
Cut in the omelette into strips .

Remove the chicken in a bowl and decorate with omelette strips and grated cheese .
Serve with paratha!!
