BEDMI POORI

Bedmi poori, well we all love poori more than Chapati and this is is relishing and worth eating . Being deep fried and we all know that fried items are not too good for health, but once a month cheat diet is allowed.

Seriously, not trying this is not a foodie. A mixture of dals with flour and spices gives this poori another dimension of taste.To enhance its taste have it with aloo ki sabji .

Ingredients

11/2 Cup  whole wheat flour 
1/2 Cup urad dal, soaked overnight and ground to coarse Paste in the morning .
1 tbsp Ghee 
2 tbsp semolina 
1 tbsp rice flour 
1 tsp fennel seeds 
1 tsp red chilli powder 
1 tsp Coriander Powder 
1 tsp Carom Seeds 
1 tsp cumin seeds , lightly crushed 
Salt to taste 
A handful of chopped coriander leaves 
Oil to fry 



Method :

In a bowl , combine all the ingredients except oil and knead to a form dough to make poori.
Rest for 15 minutes.

Heat oil in a Kadai.

Take lemon size balls and roll the dough into poori.

Deep fry on low flame till brown on both the sides.

Remove on an absorbent paper and enjoy this hot piping poori with Aloo subzi and Lasan Chutney.
Have a great meal.
